A piece that begins with a stone chosen at origin. Tell the maison what you have in mind and the first reply is already a conversation.

  1. The stone first

    A commission begins with what is in the safe, not with a sketch. Stones are chosen at origin and held, so the piece is designed around a stone that already exists.

  2. The drawing

    Form, metal and setting are drawn against that stone. The setting is decided by what the stone needs to be seen, never the other way round.

  3. The bench

    The piece is made by hand and checked against the drawing at each stage. Nothing is finished until the stone reads correctly in daylight on a hand.
